Sunshine and Strawberries, oh and lots of bags!

I received in the post some gorgeous Amy Butler and Joel Dewberry fabric this week and decided to make something new (despite having dolls heads and legs sitting waiting to be put together!)  so made a clutch bag, which I was so pleased with and enjoyed  making so much that I got a bit carried away!  These are some of my favourites.  Having lugged huge bags about when the boys were younger to accommodate the paraphernalia needed with 3 young children I now like to take as little as possible with me and if I don't sell them all in the next couple of weeks I will definitely be keeping one for myself!

The weather has been pretty good this week, but with a weekend coming up and Wimbledon about to start I think we are set for rain!  I've ignored this and made a pavlova for tonight's supper, although I prefer raspberries, nothing says June to me quite like strawberries.  Hope you get some sunshine where you are this weekend x

Looking at my stock of cards this week I realised they were getting very low and I have a couple of sales at the end of the month, so I've spent this week making more.  They are all quite summery and very 'birdie'! the last one was to celebrate the great tit babies leaving the nest this week! All the cards have now gone into my folksy shop.  I have opened an Etsy shop but am having trouble downloading things onto it at the moment.

The rabbit bag (which, no matter how many times I rotate it, I can't get it to be upright) is for a friend's 50th birthday.  She is having afternoon tea this weekend to celebrate so I hope the weather will be better so that we can be outside.  Hope you all have a lovely weekend x

It's been a beautiful, sunny week this week and the garden has bloomed!  Lilac and blue mostly at the moment.  The wysteria has been stunning, covering the seating area and sitting there smells wonderful. Alliums have popped up everywhere, the lilac is almost over, but the ceonothus is just a haze of blue and covered in bees.

I brought the blue inside too with these gorgeous cornflowers.

It's book group tonight and this months book was The Red House,  I wasn't too impressed, it was nowhere near as good as his last book. Anybody else read it?

This weekend I have the task of turning all those heads and legs into more doll garlands, which are a big hit and I have lots of orders for them, but I think I need to make something else next week before the novelty completely wears off!

Have a lovely weekend everybody x
