It was youngest son's birthday yesterday.  17 and still insists on a "chocolate cake with as many sweets as you can throw at it".

Despite the birthday festivities, I had time to make a lovely winter wool bag, which I will be taking to my last two Christmas fairs.  I hope it sells otherwise I will be tempted to keep it for myself.

It's really frosty here in Suffolk today and maybe starting to feel a little bit like Christmas is on the way.  Have a good weekend.

I am in a book group with some of my oldest friends and every year we decorate a tree at a church in town where they have a tree festival, all the money raised going to charity.

We had a silver theme with bunting showing the first sentence of our favourite book.  I chose Pride and Prejudice.  I made little grey and silver dogs from felt (sorry the photos are really poor quality)

We then had a walk through town to admire the new Christmas lights that had been put up everywhere

This was in place of the traditional Christmas tree and has caused quite a bit of controversy, but I have to say I love it!  What do you think?

Hello. My name is Julie and this is my first ever blog.  Having read so many lovely blogs for the last two or three years I have been making excuse after excuse about starting one myself.  Having found myself in the very fortunate position of being able to leave work and stay at home to sew and make lots of different things to sell, I thought it would be really nice to keep a record of this.  Above is my special boy Harry... he will probably feature alot as he spends most of his time with me.  I live in Suffolk with my husband and 3 boys (well, men really!)

Whilst he is lazing in front of the fire, I am finishing off (hopefully) the last of the Christmas bunting for the remaining craft fairs this week... hope everyone will like them!
